Animal Control think the world of her and call on her often.
If you do have an injured bird, please drive the bird to Terry as she works from home. She is a terrific lady and certainly appreciates donations of any kind because this type of special rescue is not funded by anyone but Terry herself.
If adopting a rabbit isn't for you, consider getting a rat. Isn't this photo hilarious? There are seven rats huddled on that hammock. Rats love hammocks! And they love the company of other rats too! Don't bother having your rat in an aquarium. That's no life for a rat. They need a very large cage with hammocks and lots of things to do (they love boxes!) They also enjoy those Fisher-Price plastic houses! Rats are very entertaining! They love to stay on your shoulder, can be litter box trained, and enjoy a variety of food.
Rats only live 2-3 years and do very well with a buddy or two or three! The Burrow can often direct you to a lonely rat or two that are in need of a home. You can also check your local animal shelter or Craig's List. Same sex rats do very well together. Males can be neutered. Click here for a vet that can do this procedure at low cost. Hear my humble prayer for my friends the animals, especially for animals who are suffering, for any that are hunted, lost, deserted, frightened, or hungry. And for all that must be put to sleep. For all those who work with them I ask that their hearts are full of compassion, gentle hands, and kind words. Make us all be true friends to animals and so to share the blessings of the merciful.
